Folklore completes one year today and I can never describe just how much this album means to me. This became the gateway for me to rediscover Taylor Swift's entire discography as I was reminded of just how much nostalgia is attached to my relationship with her music. I had forgotten my love for her songs like love story, the first one i heard and fell in love with at 11 (and exactly on my 21st birthday, she released love story (Taylor's version) and if that isn't just the best birthday present for a very big swiftie, listening to 'we were both young when i first saw you' as i fell in love with her again as an adult??? THE MOST PERFECT COINCIDENCE), and folklore made me wanna go back and listen to everything she has ever put out and I'm still shocked by just how much i was missing out on, as well as just how much i could still recall. I very quickly became a very obsessed swiftie who cannot go a single day without listening to at least a few Taylor Swift songs. I just can't. Going back I'm reminded and shocked to the core every single time by the pure artistry of her work and her songwriting, which is just out of this world, goes back to her debut and only gets better each time. I cannot process just how good of a songwriter she is. Her lyrics always amaze and shock me to the core. Now i listen to every single thing she makes, and just now i celebrated 1 year of folklore by wearing silver sparkly nail paint, lighting my white star ikea tea light lamp, lighting my floral candle and listened to the whole album in one go, just like i used to when the album came out. I was constantly listening to the whole thing on repeat because its just that good. Folklore pulled me right out of a really bad time in my life mentally, and it's like my most treasured present that I will cherish forever. Eternally grateful for this masterpiece🖤
