SDGI Global University Successfully Organised its 1st Convocation Ceremony
SDGI Global University, Ghaziabad, proudly celebrated its First Convocation Ceremony in a grand and memorable atmosphere filled with pride, joy, and achievement. The campus came alive as graduating students, adorned in traditional academic attire, marked a significant milestone in their academic journey.
The prestigious ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram, General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh, as the Chief Guest, and Prof. (Dr.) K. K. Aggarwal, President of South Asian University, as the Guest of Honour. The event witnessed the esteemed presence of Chancellor Shri Mahender Aggarwal, Pro-Chancellor Shri Nitin Aggarwal, Vice Chairman Shri Akhil Aggarwal, Board Member Shri Rajeev Aggarwal, Pro-Chancellor (Academic) Shri Vimal Kumar Sharma, Pro-Chancellor (Administration) Shri Peeyush Srivastava, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parsanjeet Kumar, Registrar Dr. Rajeev Ratan, along with distinguished faculty members, proud parents, and enthusiastic students.
The programme commenced with the academic procession, ceremonial lamp lighting, and the national song, creating an inspiring and dignified atmosphere. Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Parsanjeet Kumar highlighted the university’s remarkable achievements in education, research, and innovation.
Chancellor Shri Mahender Aggarwal encouraged students to move forward with honesty, dedication, and responsibility, emphasizing that a degree symbolizes hard work, perseverance, and dreams fulfilled.
Chief Guest General (Dr.) Vijay Kumar Singh inspired students with his thoughts on discipline, commitment, and nation-building, while Guest of Honour Prof. (Dr.) K. K. Aggarwal motivated graduates to remain lifelong learners in a rapidly evolving world.
One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was the felicitation of meritorious students with medals and honours amidst thunderous applause. Degrees, diplomas, and certificates were conferred upon students from various faculties, followed by an oath-taking ceremony pledging to use knowledge for the betterment of society and the nation.
The university also honoured Ms. Mrinalini Singh and CA Pradeep Surinder Sahni with honorary degrees for their remarkable contributions to society.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Registrar Dr. Rajeev Ratan and the National Anthem, leaving behind unforgettable memories for students, parents, and faculty members alike.
