It happened just before my karate world championship. ðĨ Only 3 months were left for the tournament. ð And I got myself injured. ðĪ My training stopped ðŦ and I started to fall behind. ð
My dream of representing my country ðŪðģ didnât seem to be fulfilled. ð But, being an athlete, I always bounced back. ðŠ And it didnât differ this time as well. ð
In flashback, as a 10-year-old boy ðĶ, I started my journey as a Karateka. ðĨ Playing Martial arts is not merely a sport to me, itâs an odyssey toward self-discovery. ð§ââïļ Training had become an integral part of life. âĪïļ In 2014, I began participating in local and state-level championships ð and excelled every time.
I ranked 1st in Kumite in the 5th KWF Maharashtra State Karate Championship in the category of Under 15 in 2017 ðĨ, and in 2018 I won KWF Indiaâs 1st Mumbai & District Karate Championship. ðĨ In 2023, I also came 1st in the âKumiteâ BUJUTSU Maharashtra State Inter-Dojo Karate Championship. ðĨ
Eventually, the time came to represent my country internationally âïļ, but obstacles came too in the form of injury. ðĪ Though I had to wait till I was in the form to train myself again, I didnât stop going to my martial arts training center and used to watch other athletesâ training. ð
Coming back to where I left. One month before the championship, I returned to my training. ðŠ I participated in the KWF World Championship 2023 in Japan. ðŊðĩ I played till the semi-final. ð I can say that I never felt prouder in my life when representing my country on foreign soil. ðŪðģâĪïļ
Because of my passion for sports, I wanted to explore the business aspect of this field as well. ðž That led me to pursue Sports Management at IISM. ð Moreover, I aspire to grow as a sports industry expert and contribute to the sports business by developing the grassroots-level sports of India- one of my childhood dreams. âĻ
