It happened just before my karate world championship. đĨ Only 3 months were left for the tournament. đ And I got myself injured. đ¤ My training stopped đĢ and I started to fall behind. đ
My dream of representing my country đŽđŗ didnât seem to be fulfilled. đ But, being an athlete, I always bounced back. đĒ And it didnât differ this time as well. đ
In flashback, as a 10-year-old boy đĻ, I started my journey as a Karateka. đĨ Playing Martial arts is not merely a sport to me, itâs an odyssey toward self-discovery. đ§ââī¸ Training had become an integral part of life. â¤ī¸ In 2014, I began participating in local and state-level championships đ and excelled every time.
I ranked 1st in Kumite in the 5th KWF Maharashtra State Karate Championship in the category of Under 15 in 2017 đĨ, and in 2018 I won KWF Indiaâs 1st Mumbai & District Karate Championship. đĨ In 2023, I also came 1st in the âKumiteâ BUJUTSU Maharashtra State Inter-Dojo Karate Championship. đĨ
Eventually, the time came to represent my country internationally âī¸, but obstacles came too in the form of injury. đ¤ Though I had to wait till I was in the form to train myself again, I didnât stop going to my martial arts training center and used to watch other athletesâ training. đ
Coming back to where I left. One month before the championship, I returned to my training. đĒ I participated in the KWF World Championship 2023 in Japan. đ¯đĩ I played till the semi-final. đ I can say that I never felt prouder in my life when representing my country on foreign soil. đŽđŗâ¤ī¸
Because of my passion for sports, I wanted to explore the business aspect of this field as well. đŧ That led me to pursue Sports Management at IISM. đ Moreover, I aspire to grow as a sports industry expert and contribute to the sports business by developing the grassroots-level sports of India- one of my childhood dreams. â¨
