As much as I like this disc, and will definitely bring it out again after its imminent filing, I have to admit to having it play mostly in the background for this listen. However, this allowed the album to also shine in this particular light, too, with its stark, gently insistent minimalist pieces suiting my other tasks very nicely indeed. This is a type of album that exictes me and makes me want to make music; I also have a friend who I think will be similarly charmed by it, so I know it won't be too long before I hear it again (and in the meantime will keep eyes peeled for more work by all parties involved).

Su actividad en los últimos años incluye performances en varios espacios en Europa, EU, Japón y Korea del Sur. Aparte de sus trabajos de estudio y las performances en directo, el devota significante parte de su energía en la realización de instalaciones y acciones sonoras. En su primera exhibición, bajo el titulo Super Stereo, presentará las piezas sonoras: 😍 “Super Stereo” (premiere) – pieza sonora para dos altavoces distribuidos en el espacio 😮 “The Emoji Symphony” – partitura basada en emojis 😲 “Listen (v-P.O)” – instalación sonora, tributo a Pauline Oliveros 😅 “Iceland Sound Vest” – video-documento de acción sonora 😊 “The Kite//Wind Project” – video-documento de acción sonora 😬 “Propeller Sound” – instalación sonora 😴 “H.A.S – Human Audio Spectrum”  – instalación sonora 😇 “Music For Rubber Tapes” – pieza sonora, 10min. Después de la inauguración de la exposición, tres músicxs basadxs en Barcelona van a presentar su trabajo en directo. Espacio Profundo (ES) ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Espacio Profundo (anteriormente Trash Van Trax) es un proyecto fundado a base de grabaciones de campo, que crea imaginativos, cinematográficos paisajes sonoros. Combinando grabaciones ambientales con material más enfocado en el detalle, Vanessa LP recrea situaciones de la vida real que nunca han pasado. Introduciendo hábilmente material generado por ordenador, remueve el contexto hacia un imaginario abstracto.  Una mezcla de atmósferas drone, a veces subrayando ruidos que normalmente se considerarían desagradables, pero que resulta en una version hipnótica y aumentada de la realidad. Su trabajo cuestiona la habilidad cognitiva de la identificación de situaciones sonoras y incita la imaginación. https://espacioprofundo.bandcamp.com/ Emiliano Hernandez-Santana ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Emiliano Hernández-Santana es un artista sónico Venezuelano, afincado en Barcelona. Es el fundador de Biodata, uno de los primeros sellos cibernéticos de America del Sur, tanto como de la más recientemente activa Angustia. Ha publicado su música con muchos diferentes pseudónimos, como Yopoman, FLN, Niopo Poreri, EHS. Un malabarista de ruidos y tonos sutiles, crea un universo atmosférico, donde criaturas imaginarias se ahogan lentamente en pantanos sonoros. Un espacio donde la vida se muta gradualmente para poder seguir. Sostenidos tonos y fragmentos fugaces encadenados, aparecen y desaparecen en una coexistencia harmoniosa. Combining environmental recordings with more detail-centered footage, Vanessa creates real life situations that have never happened. She skilfully mixes in computer-generated material, shifting the context into more abstract imagery. A mixture of drony atmospheres; underlying noises that would normally rather be considered disturbing, results in an augmented, hypnotic version of reality.
