semi-monogamous Florida boy, with whom things have been over & we've just been friends for awhile, just half-jokingly asked me to move in with him ONE DAY after he had a fight with the girl he's been seeing long distance bc they were 2 weeks out from moving in together and he found out she spent the entire relationship avoiding looking at his pictures or his square when they video chatted bc she wanted to fantasize and knowing what he looked like would ruin it.
and I'm like what was the plan here. did she think she could spend the entire relationship avoiding looking at him? chatting over morning coffee with your sleep mask still on? romantic dinners in total darkness?
so I can see why he's thrown off balance. and I'm not even feeling insulted emotionally but dude. like come on.
bc the horrible thing is I know he'd choose me over his gf if i took him seriously and said yes. and the framing of the question made it clear he's aware of that too. so bringing it up is just kind of objectively unkind to everyone involved. but he's obviously under a lot of strain.
