Originally Sidon was supposed to learn that Ganondorf dragging him to train and to the battlefield is what got Link out of a massive depression when he got disabled and kept having each surgery to fix it being a disaster. There was a whole point about him and Zelda being the one who teached Link his physical limits didnāt define him and... you know, cut content because weāre in Sidonās pov and all.
