Update resister
I have no ex and only a vague idea of what Instagram is, but when I saw this New Yorker cartoon, I felt an immediate kinship with Liz.
Call it a fear of change if you must, or passive aggression; in any case, I am a confirmed "update" resister. I like my gadgets just the way they are and and every time my machines try to coerce me into something new (and probably confusing) I look the other way.
I've found that if I keep stalling - if I keep promising to take action at a later date, but never do - the nagging eventually goes away.
At least I think it does. Sometimes I imagine that I'm just one step ahead of the update police and that one day there will come a knock on my door and somebody will confiscate my laptop and phone for gross uncooperativeness.
