โง Compulsions that revolve around the need to be 'productive' *. Not being productive can lead to great distress and self deprecation. This is especially prominent in those with OCPD, but is not exclusive.โง
โง Compulsive behaviors may include: Obsessively working on something you consider productive without eating or drinking due to 'not deserving to eat or drink' until you get it done. Need for perfectionism. Getting antsy and have self-hating thoughts when you're having fun and not doing something productive. Ghosting or even snapping at people so you can focus on productivity, because they're getting in the way.โง

* Productive is put in quotes due to productivity being different for everyone, especially those with disorders that cause compulsions. For example, my brain does not consider my job 'productivity' despite it technically being productive, which means even after a long day at work my brain will still scream at me for being unproductive. (Case in point: I'm making these flags after a really shitty day at work because for some reason this is more productive to my brain)
I believe this to be different from how regular hyperfixation / special interest focus tends to be, at least for myself, but there's definitely an overlap.
