I think it’s safe to say that I’m finally feeling myself again The words are defeating the cursor as if I’ve got a new lust in my heart a terrible but delightful new longing I want to make it this time around

I’m laying in a new bed in a new apartment And I’m still trying to figure out if it’s haunted but I seem to be sleeping through the nights So at least these ghosts aren’t all that loud that is, if they exist even at all

Tomorrow I hit these brand new sidewalks Make the hike to every restaurant in town Try and find a job before the sun goes down It’s important to have goals even if they seem so small You’ve got to explore before you learn how to swallow

The TV’s on and Jim Carey makes the sound as I watch The Mask for the third time this week I’m drowning in comfort as I step out of what’s comfortable I don’t know anyone in this Midwestern town But that’s the point isn’t it? That way, they don’t know me either

I think maybe I think it’s been long enough Since I set up work at finding myself a muse Or maybe I’ll handle just a fling Who needs something so fucking serious all the time I’ll still write about her whether she likes it or not

Low on money but high on hope I think this might be the right thing to do And maybe the universe really has been pushing this direction but I’m not one for all that universal truth conception I prefer to believe in things I can see Otherwise what separates it from reality and delusional Hallucinogenic religions

Where I lose all notion of reality,

Not realising the time that goes by,

Disregarding any kind of concern,

Feeling a sense of relief from all of the weight,

That was keeping me down,

Grasping every picture that flickers before me,

Each is represented in different colours,

My gaze racing to keep up,

At the mystery of what I have buried deep in my mind...
