The flu outbreak scares me.

Being chronically ill I've learned to deal with (mostly and most days). I've been chronically ill for half my life. But I do not cope well with getting sick; cold, flu, anything. I don't handle it well and get really upset

I feel bad for getting annoyed but I with able bodied people would stop complaining about being sick with like a mild cold. I feel worse than that everyday and so you hear me complaining? No because you don’t believe my pain is even real

My toddler nephew, again, gave me a cold and tomorrow I have a interview for a job, I just hope is not flu because I'm slowly feeling more and more weaker

I’ve been on immunosuppressants for the last 7 years to treat my rheumatoid arthritis. The thing is with immunosuppressants, if you’re sick you can’t take the medicine until the sickness resolves. Lately I have been having more problems with catching colds and viruses. I really try to stay away from people who are sick but no one takes it seriously except for my parents. This is the third virus that I’ve had in two months and I’m unbelievably frustrated. My joints are not happy and I feel aweful

Me and my bestie (also chronically ill) refer to normal illness ( flu, cold, infection,etc) as being 'muggle sick'. It makes me very happy. Muggle sickness sucks for the chronically ill            

I hate getting normal sick on top of all the weird stuff I already have. This cold is one thing too many. My body cannot contain this much sickness. This is how I die. (well, the pneumonia that follows this anyway - that fucker is just waiting for the chance)

I keep getting sick and it's driving me crazy. I've barely been out of the house all winter, and even when I do get out of the house I spend the next day feeling horrible, all of which is kicking my anxiety through the roof. Every little thing bothers me, and I really just don't want to be me anymore. Can I be someone else for a while? Someone with a functioning body and brain?
