Matt knew James missed him. You don’t really spend three months on an undercover and potentially deadly mission without missing your significant other. But this reaction - it’s unexpected. And lacks James’s usually restraint and subtlety.

“I hate to break it to you, Jamie,” Matt whispers, “but the probability of everyone blinking at the same time is extremely low. But the probability of this meeting ending early because of someone,” Matt winks at him, “pulling the fire alarm? Now that’s high.”

❝ Are you suggesting we FAKE AN EMERGENCY and waste everyone’s time just for a little welcome back kiss? ❞ James questioned, narrowing his eyes as he gave a cursory glance around the meeting room before his gaze finally landed on Matt.

It was an objectively horrible idea.

keith lets out a soft groan and gently flops forward, pressing his face against matt’s neck and closing his eyes for a moment.  “the longest ever. too long. it felt like today was never going to end.” keith mumbles, moving his hands to let his fingers curl up in matt’s shirt a little bit. 

❝ Hey, Matt. ❞ Keith had been going for casual, reaching out to push Matt’s mussed bangs aside, but he wasn’t sure how convincing he was while nervously biting his lips against a NERVOUS smile and praying to a deity he didn’t even believe in that he wasn’t sporting any kind of blush either.

Things had shifted in his relationship with the rebel but he still felt AWKWARD approaching some things that came with this level of closeness they’d reached. He’d had a sort-of boyfriend before but he was VERY DIFFERENT back then and softness was still something he was getting accustomed to.

❝ You can say no if you want but I was just wondering-... I really like your-... ❞ Why was this so hard? Why was outright KISSING Matt so much easier than asking for anything simple? He was THE BLACK PALADIN for crying out loud, a cute rebel boy shouldn’t be this difficult to navigate around. Maybe the only way he could do this is if he just blurt it out.

he was actually having a lot of fun tonight. no sign of danger, no worry about impending doom...just a gathering of friends and family to celebrate the season. he wasn’t looking the most festive, wearing a pair of simple dark jeans and a dark red sweater. he was on his way out of the kitchen, a small mug of peppermint cocoa, when he bumped right into matt. he shrugs it off, giving the other a small grin before looking upwards and sipping at his drink.

He’s not at all sure of what Matt was working on, but he seemed so focused where he was sitting on the floor that Kosmo couldn’t find it in himself to disturb him. Still, it wasn’t enough to quell his curiosity.

From the moment a person is born, there is someone out there meant for them. A tattoo forms on their skin to show what the other is interested in or what crosses their mind the most. The ink appears around the age of three when the child begins thinking more clearly.

For little Lotor Ribeiro he didn’t understand what the mark meant, he just knew Papai didn’t like his or the one on his own arm. It made him mad and sometimes he cried when he thought Lotor was asleep in his bed. The little boy didn’t want his papai to be upset. So he would hug the man’s arm and hide his own. It worked for a little while but quickly came to an end.

His interests changed so much he probably gave his poor soulmate whiplash. From his little stuffed dragon (his favorite toy), to the little fish that lived in the Pinheiros River, and the beautiful murals painted by the street artists of São Paulo. And that was just in the first two years of having the tattoo.
