BLADED // INSTINCT*

life has been crazy and i’m literally at my breaking point with my current job. i’m like...so close to having a breakdown and so i’m currently trying to scramble and find something else so i’m not without a job until i find something new. 

so i basically have to let my mental health suffer until i find something new. idk when i’ll get to replies so i apologize but eventually they will get done here. 

with work and my three dnd campaigns, i’ve sort of been neglecting my roleplay blogs. i work 3 - 7 today and if i get home in time, i might be playing the last little bit of my wednesday campaign but after that, i’m going to try and get through a few replies. 

⌈ —   He was foolish to think that he would find the vampire he was hunting so easily. And now, Shiro was caught and bound on a chair, arms tied behind him while he discreetly made his right hand, his robotic one shift and twist so he could be able to cut the roped binding him. His silver eyes glared at the vampire before him, the corner of his lips turned down in almost a snarl. Taking note of his surroundings and thinking of ways on how to get out of this mess.

           “Searching for you.”

A simple answer to a simple question. Shiro had been hunting the vampire for years. But the damn creature was always one step in front of him. But now, it was he who was captured and not the other way around.

          “Tsk, took me years to finally find you…and once I’m freed, I’m going to kill you, Lotor!”⌋

keith sat back a little at the exclamation, brows raising as a fairly familiar name was shouted at him. how...how had this hunter mistaken him for lotor? he had to admit, he was a little insulted. keith was nothing like lotor, had never done the things he had, and all in all, he’d lived quite a quite vampiric life. 

“lotor...?” keith replies, tilting his head. “you’ve got the wrong vampire, friend.” 

keith stands then, holding his hands up with his palms facing the hunter as he hoped to show that he meant the other no harm at all. “if i untie you...do you promise not to hurt me? i can tell you where lotor is, but in exchange, i want no harm brought to myself.” 

he waits, standing a little closer to the hunter now. 

dnd and work have taken over my life. 

and my laptop is a little funky still because i haven’t been able to get it fixed because money is Tight even with having a job now but anyways. me being stuck to my laptop means i have no access to my keith icons. 

“And that would be a shame, wouldn’t it?” Matt chuckles, pausing to emit a soft sigh. “I really like this. Being able to wake up next to you is nice. Even though you might not always be this cheery in the morning. Mornings suck, it’s okay to be grumpy once in a while.”

Pressing a kiss to Keith’s forehead, he adds, “Your secret is safe with me.”

shiro lets out a series of dramatic coughs and noices as he watches matt remove the light armor and make his way to the bed. “losing...feeling...light is fading....” he gasps, placing a hand onto his chest, keeping his eyes on matt as the other gets into bed and moves closer. 

The memory makes Lance feel oddly nostalgic, despite the fact that it was mostly a bad one. Even if he had been cold and freezing and miserable during that trip, and he ended up coming home with a terrible head cold that kept him out of the flight simulator for almost a week… it was still a memory of home. And home seems so far away now…

He shifts a bit closer to Keith at that thought. Maybe, if Lance had known someone else hated that stupid ski trip just as much as he did, they could have suffered together? No, he thinks, resting his chin on his knees. Back then, he would have rather suffered alone. It sounds so stubborn and stupid now.

“You’d think there would be. I don’t know how the two of them handle this; I asked Allura about it earlier, and she said, Oh, I think the temperature is quite lovely!” His impersonation is mediocre, at best. He’ll have to work on that. “At this rate, we’ll all be paladin-sickles before we can do anything about saving the universe…”

keith can’t help but laugh at lances impersonation. “you know, i like allura but...that’s just crazy. i definitely don’t get it either.” keith murmurs as another yawn passes through his lips and without thinking about it, he settles in a little closer to lance, his cheek pressing against the other’s shoulder as his eyes start to close again as the warmth surrounds him and makes him feel sleepy.

Adam is tempted to insist that he buys the hat for Shiro but he bites his tongue. He needs to let Shiro have independence. There’s a fine line between protecting him and babying him, after all.

An amused chuckle escapes his lips as Shiro kisses him and pulls him closer. “You can’t stop me from worrying, but I trust you. And although I mostly want you to be careful, I want you to have fun. Text me when you’re on your way back, okay?” Adam tilts his head up, giving Shiro one last kiss. And although now might not be the best time to admit it, he can’t resist adding an “I love you.”

shiro nods and snorts a little bit. “i know. worrying is what you do.” shiro teases, his hands giving adam’s sides a gentle squeeze. “of course. do you need anything while i’m out? i’m pretty much just going to grab a couple hats and then i’ll be back.” shiro murmurs.
