Everything about this is so funny. The panel before this is JP just now realizing that David hasn’t been in their work meeting the entire time, and then there’s this mess. “Guest with benefits” even though like, canonically, these two are dating. Tommy’s immediate reaction another speedster being “who’s faster do you want to race”. Once Tommy realizes who it is and how powerful Northstar is (which is very), he still wants to race and acts like he stands a chance. Tommy being hyped that JP can run fast enough to destroy everything in the area and himself. JP just fucking being quietly amused and indulging Tommy’s questions even though David is trying very hard to end this conversation. Tommy claiming he feels “emasculated” so David should “kiss it better” even though he clearly is so fucking gleeful. JP in peak dad mode calling him “young man”. God I love this stupid team so much I hope they get another title after Trial of Magneto.
