Twixxel is a player who has been around Mob for awhile and knows how to talk to him, what he likes, what he avoids etc.

Emphasis: Twixxel is A PLAYER. He can hop to different worlds (Btw I’m treating the Minecraft world like it’s their real world and they can hop between servers and Verity is a thing trapping in this one world). Twixxel can craft things, build, go mining. Verity is either stuck as a ball that can spawn things in or a massive 7 foot creature that’s only thought is food.

Mob has already shown that he enjoys doing things himself like building his farm or hunting down villagers for trades.

So Verity snatches Twixxel up and locks him at their home ie lab.

While Mob is stress because his friend is gone and probably dead, Verity is using Twixxel to figure out how to be more useful and make Twixxel’s position in Mob’s life obsolete.

Anddddd barely keeping him alive with Regeneration potions because, again, their big, emotional creature form only really thinks about food. Verity don’t care if he survives anyway. [insert art of one armed Twixxel. RIP]

So with Twixxel’s reluctant help Verity designs a few upgrades for themself. They squish and smooth their larger model out to be closer to a player size and more approachable. They swipe an outfit from one of the long dead researchers to look presentable. They even add some code to allow themselves to hold inventory and craft.

Now comes the problem of how the fuck to do anything. Walking “normal” is weird. They try to slide like they normally would but fall over instead. They’re terrible at farming, cooking, basically anything involving fine motor skills. Their normal proportional hands and legs are too uncanny for themselves to use. Crafting takes forever because they’ve only ever spawned things in and it’s SOOOO much easier to do that.

Twixxel, still dieing, is very amused by their struggles. Verity reluctantly demands help on how to adjust.

Mob meanwhile is slowly freaking out. Verity locked the world down so he can’t leave, his friend is definitely dead, and Verity keeps disappearing for long periods of time.

When they come back they’re always in a weird mood. Sometimes they’re crazy happy and won’t stop talking. Other times they’re more obsessive and suspicious of him like he’s still trying to leave (he is).

Verity also seems to be more investing in WHY he does things. Why does he leave to mine early in the mornings. Why climb the mountain when he could dig through or go around. Then the weirder ones like what sleep is like. How do you hold an axe without it falling out of your hands. How do you jump with two legs.

One day Mob stumbles into a scene of Verity building dirt houses in his player shaped form. Mob freaks out because he thought it was another player that could help. Verity freaks out because the new form is a suprise and they weren’t done making it perfect. Words exchange, Mob gets piss and heads back home to brood.

Verity is pissed now and goes to blame Twixxel for their problems but OH NO Twixxel has been surviving on nothing but Re-gen potions and is GOING TO DIE FOR REALS now.

Like Verity didn’t even bother with food unless Twix begged and there is no way Verity would help with any wounds.

Now Verity has to chose, do I help this guy or actually let him die.

Considering how Mob is acting now it probably isn’t a good idea to let him die. But Verity still doesn’t want to actively help the guy he hates soooooo-

”Twixxel can live if he leaves and you never try to leave again.”

Verity drops an absolute bomb shell on Mob randomly and sends him into a wtf spiral. Of course he’s going to help his friend what DO YOU MEAN HE’S BEEN ACTIVELY DIEING THIS ENTIRE TIME TAKE ME TO HIM FASTER.

Now Mob is trying to help Twixxel. His friend is in bad shape and without Mob going with him there’s no guarantee he’ll survive portaling out. Mob can’t message anyone to help because of Verity’s lockdown, so Twixxel is staying til he’s healthy enough to leave on his own.

Verity is pissed to see them together again and even more pissed that Twixxel is staying longer.

Verity leaves to go blow off some steam by devouring another village. They normally don’t have any issues with this because they aren’t seen as a threat to the iron gollums and are basically invisible, then one of the gollums DOES attack Verity-

(First hint that Verity is slowly becoming their own thing and turning into a player)
