Final... Or at least what I was able to get done because of my other finals. I got what I could done.
Working on comics for me is a very systematic process. If I don't structure it it will end up being 6 hours of me, drawing one eyelid to perfection.
Usually my structure follows a pattern of:
initial brainstorming
refining story
scripting (yes literal scripting, I have about twice as many pages of paperwork that pages for any one comic)
rough thumbnails
paneling
rough penciling (things like placement of characters and POV is considered here)
penciling
inking
I also stop for a few minutes at least between phases to consider how things are looking as a spread. Since comics work on such macro AND micro levels it is absolutely VITAL to look at how a comic looks as pages and as specific panels.
Lastly, between each step I bring in someone who has never seen my comic and ask them what they see, because frankly at that point I have no clue what I'm seeing anymore.
