All this commercialism linked to Christmas is making me sick. On Yahoo there's a counter labeled "Days left to shop" and has a second by second countdown of days left until the 25th. Stores put up Christmas decorations in October, and every website in existence emails me 4 times a day saying how you should "show your love" and "count your blessings" by buying all their shit that's all sale. Tell the one you love how much you care by buying them our sweat shop made sneakers at 5% off! You'll be oh so sorry if you passed up on such an extravagant opportunity to give our executives piles of money while you buy something you never would purchase for the sake of giving someone something to show that you value them as nothing but a monetary value!

yes, well, its a lot thanks to gaga tbh. she's really making a revolution, if only more ppl would actually listen to her. idc what ppl say about me (up to some point, of course) but i know there are ppl with really low self-esteem and i wish the whole fucking world would stop glamorising ''beauty'' under some criteria they've created. beauty is sth really personal, for example, when you fall in love that person is the image of perfection to you. so why tell ppl what they should like and what they should look like? this is a main problem in the music industry as well. they no longer search for talented ppl, but ppl who look good and do whatever the fuck their label tells them. and i dont mean that looking ''good'' is a bad thing, what im saying is that it pisses me off the fact that the masses of ppl are not able to form their own opinion, just because they are constantly brainwashed and find it easier just to copy whatever the fuck they hear. thats why all of our ''idols'' and the ppl we praise rn are basic and those who have real talents and fight for their individualities or try to make a change are being harassed. and it makes me sad, really. now, we are all just part of the system, and we let them control us cuz this is the easy way. wish ppl would just start thinking
