The evangelist dodged my questions about "what if I am reincarnated as an evil god who encourages me to be evil?"

As an side story, a loser socially awkward kid kept praying for a miracle to make him cool, but his future self was a socially awkward divine auntie who made things worse.

idealized feudalism/caste system: Your role in society is determined by your birth, which means you don't need to struggle or compete in order to have a role in society. You are the miller, or farmer of plot 12; and this is as inherent to you as your name. You don't need to prove that you deserve it.

(shh, don't notice that historical feudalism/caste doesn't work like this. Or how this can't respond to market demand. Or that this is similar to the "you get a state assigned house and job" from North Korea propaganda)

Like all the time that you spend examining your life could have been spent making friends, love, and money, and your life will make narrative sense because you never noticed all the holes though. I am not one to commit to one narrative for my life though, or to forgo thinking.

Are you familiar with the original context of Zeno's Paradox? It was part of a debate about the nature of time, and he was saying "If my opponent's theory were correct it would lead to this paradox, so therefore their theory must not be correct."

I didn't hear this exact story as the context, but yes, I never believed that the real life Zeno literally believed motion was impossible; but "Zeno doesn't believe in motion" is a vastly more useful character for telling jokes.
