So, we all deal with bullies at some point., right? And all our schools claim 'no tolerance for bullying'. I'm ready to call them out on that lie. All through middle school I was harassed. The bullies followed me not only to my home, but to my mother and father's workplace. They'd do this every single day they didn't have extracurricular activities. They'd call me fat, tell me that I wasn't smart and plenty other things. They spread god awful rumors that made me look like a bad human being. They also went out of their way to do things I specifically and politely asked them not to. A couple teachers did similar things to me too. One constantly put me on the spot, and another threw my notebook at me! One day I finally had enough. I told the principal. Now, they called the ringleader of the bullies and myself to the office. They asked the ringleader if he was doing those things and he simply said that he wasn't. The principal said I shouldn't lie and that was it. I get it, I had horrid grades and wasn't the best student, but my personal life was filled with stress and I was being harassed by our roommate and to be honest, she constantly made me watch her child while she went out to party every night. She would constantly steal my art supplies from me, yell at me, and made up lies about me and told me I was a bad influence because I cut, this went on everyday and it affected me pretty badly. After the event at the principals' office, they even went out of their way to find me outside of school and chase me around while making snide comments. See? Schools aren't Zero Tolerance, that's a lie. I hope that someone sees this and spreads it. I also hope that this makes others come forward and tell their stories.
