Today is a Southerner's Day - National Fried Chicken Day!
A good piece of fried chicken is a greasy, deliciously indulgent comfort food that is enjoyed globally but nothing like us, Southerners especially with some collared greens and cornbread. The fried chicken was bought together with Scottish chicken-frying methods and combined with West African seasonings equaling one of the world's favorite guilty pleasures, Even though today's prices are inflated but actually fried chicken was an expensive delicacy until World War II when mass production techniques helped to reduce the prices. Since then we are able to indulge ourselves on the cheap in almost any city, globally.
Go get some or make some of that Southern tradition, a handful of napkins, and indulge yourself during this National Fried Chicken Day.
