I may be relatively young as these things go, stubborn as hell, and kinda used to working around some difficulties. But, that doesn't mean that I'm completely bulletproof, or that I don't deserve some leeway.

I’ve been reading a lot of MCU fics that have had very interesting portrayals of cognitive problems after brain injuries and some not-unrelated problems arising from severe PTSD, such as mental fatigue and sensory overload. Most interesting have been the descriptions of life with executive functioning problems - problems with for example planning, prioritising, remembering and problems with sorting and filtrering information. Getting stuck when trying to find words or being temporarily unable to grasp something you usually understand very well.

If anyone has any recs on fics that feature these problems or similar ones, preferably fics where these problems are not the main focus, but are part of a character's reality, feel free to share. It’s something that's rarely featured in shows/books or other media, and I’ve rarely stumbled over any media where you get to see it from the POV of the character who has these problems, so I'm very curious about finding more; both as a professional working with these issues and as someone who's brain is functioning on the level of a slightly damaged toaster certain days.
