worst kingsguard ever is a perpetually competitive title but tbh i think it would have to go to the shambling reanimated corpse of a serial rapist that just got sworn in
Ser Gregor Clegane, The Mountain that Rides, Tywin's Mad Dog, The Great Dog, died and remade Robert Strong
I doubt that Gregor -- or "Robert Strong" -- will get much personal development, but his appearance at King's Landing will certainly cause issues. Even if the head they send Dorne was Cleganes, a hulking warrior staunchly loyal to Cersei will be enough for the Dornish to claim Gregor never died for his crimes.
I do look forward to possibly learning more about the mechanisms that Qyburn used to animate Robert Strong. We know he performed a great deal of experiments on living women, but the details are intentionally left out. The question of where Robert Strong's head came from also intrigues me. I wouldn't be surprised if Qyburn used the head of someone we already know, but the list of recent enough deaths is short.
Hey, what if that really big skull given to Doran Martell is the Mountain’s and they gave Robert Strong Robert Baratheon’s head or the other way around.
Talking about the parallels between Cersei and Dany and how Dany may end killing herself with fire, I was wondering if Robert Strong may not be the one who kill Cersei?
He is a brother, the beast of Cersei like Drogon is of Dany.
We suspect the undead focus on what drive them: Beric to his duty, LSH to her pain. Gregor was revived by Qyburn, so he may be strugling with his bloodthirst and his "loyalty" to Cersei (sounds like certain other beast?).
And it also plays with Martin's foreshadow with his rule of three: the character (Cersei) thinks it's Tyrion, the readers suspect it's Jaime, and actually it was Robert Strong.
I'd call that improbable. There is no meaning in it, no poetry.
Dany being killed by the creature she intentionally woke with blood magic, that she calls her child, that makes her feel powerful and free even as it burns human beings alive, the dragon she identifies with the most... that's poetic and tragic.
Cersei being killed by the undead revenant of a guy who used to be Sandor's older brother but otherwise has little personal connection with her until Qyburn surprised her with her new zombie knight... not that poetic. It has little resonance with the central themes of her story, her rage and her fear and her grief, and the cruelty it translate to.

Calling Robert Strong a knight acquainted to Qyburn is so funny. He’s not even at buddy level he’s just some guy Qyburn knows
i just don't think the eleven year old girl who bullies her baby sister or the nine year old girl who threw an orange at her in retaliation is evil. i'm starting to think maybe that weird seven foot tall man who never speaks is, though.
Fun ASOIAF fact!
While seemingly close in height, Robert Strong is actually a whole head shorter than Gregor Clegane!
