A Coffee Shop By Any Other Name
Huh, she had never really been to this part of the city. Everything around her was foreign. From the shops to the people walking about casually enjoying their day, everything about this place was different to her. Natsu had never been to the 20th district before, at least, not since she was a child. However, that had been so long ago that she honestly didn’t count it. Shifting in her sneakers, the girl looked down to her phone. It was almost evening. Soon, it’d be nighttime. Her eyes shifted up to the still bustling streets. How od.
She supposed that the 20th district was known for being one of the quieter zones in Tokyo. So, the fact that people were still walking about despite the sun going down wasn’t too odd. They didn’t live in one of the more dangerous districts. Of course, if everything was this peaceful, there wouldn’t be a reason for Natsu to be here, now would there? She made her living recording ghoul activity for a website. A district with no ghoul activity wasn’t a good one for her business. So why was she here in the seemingly peaceful 20th district? Well, the 20th district wasn’t so peaceful anymore. The ghoul related incidents in the district were rising, and she wanted to be the first to get footage before the news or any other websites.
Still, she didn’t know where to begin looking for information. Crossing her arms, the girl walked forward, trying to find a good place to begin. As the sun hung low in the sky, kissing the horizon, she found the perfect place. It was a coffee shop. Maybe some of the locals who worked there would know something about the incidents? Even if they didn’t, Natsu was somewhat hungry, having missed her lunch to catch the train to this district, so she opened the door to the café, and walked in, looking around curiously.
“Excuse me, are you all still open?”
