You need to watch Code Of Silence from last year. A deaf woman gets a job with the police and catches feelings for her mark. Heart warming, emotionally challenging, beautiful show.
Ooooooo that sounds really good I'll have to watch it for sure!
Andrew has quite a history of attending the BAFTAs: for nominated dramas in which he has appeared (The Sinking of the Laconia, Broadchurch), to present awards (2013, 2017) and to announce the nominations (2017).
I hadn't even noticed that Code of Silence was nominated this year, so was surprised when Andrew popped onto the screen during the awards. Code of Silence won best drama serial! And the clip also appeared on BBC news broadcasts later.
It was also very pleasing to see that that three of the nominees for leading actress were former co-leads with him:
as well as the winner of best actress in a comedy:
Then there were the nominees for leading actor:
I expect he was watching at home and cheering them on.

Code Of Silence blows every other show I have ever watched out of the water between the desire to do somethings kind of unadvised in desire to be seen & be useful and feeling extremely under utilized by society due to prejudice and ableism. Just going for it eventually because it was her first chance at changing her life. Money wise and for her family and to help solve her own problems. Such a mood. Lowkey wished it existed when I was a teen but the second best time is now.
