Ngl I am forever mad that Infinite Warfare got SLAMMED for being 'another future COD game' when it is EASILY one of the best COD games to utilize all the whacky tech gadgets and also it's settings to the fullest extent (depending on the difficulty admittedly) like, did you know that specialist difficulty has two entirely new gameplay systems surronding it?
Thats the helmet and nano shot item, two items EXCLUSIVE to that game mode and they have actually cool gameplay effects. Like there is a whole broken limb system with a broken leg making you crouch with one and prone with two, or a broken arm fucking up your aim, or a broken helmet making it so that any shot to the head is an instant death, or the same broken helmet means you start taking damage in oxygenless enviroments!
Like I am die hard defender for this game's campaign because of this system and the rest of the mission structure, and I HATE how COD IW will forever be the bastard son of the franchise through NO FAULT OF ITS OWN. Like tbh, its just fine but the unjust hate that followed this game on release has made me suddenly want to die for this game's honor! Especially when some modern COD games don't have the balls to kill off even ONE of it's characters while COD IW can't stop killing off it's cast and that creates ACTUAL TENSION AND STAKES, Y'KNOW, LIKE HOW AN WAR SHOULD BE MAKING YOU FEEL?!
Everything else though I have no strong feelings about. Zombies is ok and multiplayer is eh, but the campaign is the fucking holy grail of 'COD games in the fuuuuuuuture' especially when compared to the AI garbage that is Black Ops 7
