Alright who's read cursed child and wants to chat about it bc I'm mad so I need a discussion

yeah the think about there being only one wizarding school in america is bs bc yes england is old as balls but like there’s so much diversity in culture around the states, and old magic/supernatural sects even given where you are in the states that there’s going to be so many schools. like new england yes will have old schools based on the first ppl coming from england, like old “”traditional”” magic if you will, hidden in secrecy to stay alive ((salem witch trials anyone, like half the founders if not them all would have died)) & then we have voodoo in the south & also like old magic of people coming down from the north just as the country expanded west, and then yes we have native american magic that is based so much with nature and the spirits of the land that is just as old as jk’s english magic would be, so already we’ve got three very different kinds of magic in schools that would be all over the country, like those are the biggest three types i can currently think of w/us magic, but there’s probably so much more

I've been listening to the audiobook version of Harry Potter narrated by Jim Dale (who is amazing) and it makes me so sad whenever ugly/fat descriptors are used to indicate that a character is terrible.

here to tell you that every person in Hogwarts is an idiot for not realizing that if harry was the heir of Slytherin the chamber of secrets would've opened when he first came to Hogwarts, not two years later.
