‘Twas the Night before Greenlight...
In under twelve hours our very first game for market will be appearing on Steam Greenlight. It’s called Close Order, and it’s about becoming an armada.
As I sit here listening to a torrential downpour pelt against my windows, only one word comes to mind: gratitude.
I’m eternally thankful to have met the people I have met. I’m incredibly grateful to have such a wonderful team that works so well together to achieve our vision. I’m forever in the debt of the people who have trusted me to make their lives better by committing to this vision -- that our game will come together well, it’ll knock out the sales charts, and it’ll allow us all to truly come together and make more games.
I had to scroll through our group Skype chat a few days ago to find something that had been linked. As I was looking back over a joking conversation between myself and a few others, I saw something that made me stop dead in my tracks.
“... the best job I’ve ever had... “
We haven’t earned a cent. There’s never been a time where we physically all met. All of us are investing so much time, effort, and energy into the dream that this will be successful.
And it seems that we might be on the right track.
I’m grateful for Raconteur, I’m grateful for the opportunities I have had, and I am unworthy of having so many incredible people in my life.
Tomorrow the floodgates are opened. Let’s do this!
