I’ve reached a point in my life where how I display our clients and projects, and their deadlines/schedules/progress– matters. And I mean matters VISUALLY.
I guess it also matters in efficiency and how easy it is to use, but who are we kidding. Visuals. How it looks. The Superficials. The Prettiness. THE PRECIOUSNESS. Okay okay, dialing it back… a bit.
The entire 2018 thus far has brought an influx of business, new projects, old clients that came back, and fun new ideas we’re working on for PF.
And our client management system was.. lacking. and lack luster!
What designer can stand that?
Definitely not this one.
So here’s to Pinterest: showing what’s gloriously tedious but so deliciously beautiful that I’m willing to put in all the time and effort towards make it look great.
Oh, also: will be doing a new ongoing series called (can you guess?) The Current Delicious where I’ll blab on and on (but importantly and elegantly) about something I’m seeing that I am dead over.
Today it’s this adorable pegboard signage – WITH LETTERS.
Jake says it’d be unbearable. I say IT’S ADORABLE. I CAN PUT UP WITH ANYTHING IF ITS ADORABLE, I scream. (ahem, see our marriage?! I sneak in snidely)
PEG.
BOARD.
LETTERS.
Who cares that I’ve got upwards of 25 clients? Who cares that the tedium could kill a small crowd, even with my mind’s leading PR firm- Tedium, Granular, and Nitpicky at the helm?
Not me, says typographically obsessed (but time stretched) Jenny. Need more office inspiration? Of course you do! http://bit.ly/2ozjtKb
I’ll be keeping you all updated with what we decide to do over here. I have a guess it’ll involve something cool but less insane, but while that can be the plan- it’s hardly ever the case. (See: The Kubrick Project).
