loumand/armand as it pertains to loustat
i know we can all have different takes of the show. this is just my opinion. respectfully, loustat fans who hate armand/loumand don't really make sense to me.
if loustat had gotten back together directly after the trial, loustat would have broken up shortly after that. louis figuring the whole thing out (partially) on his own and confronting armand is key to loustat even being able to work out as endgame. loumand is integral to endgame loustat.
let's say that lestat actually admits to saving louis and therefore armand is out of the picture and loustat immediately reunite, it would take 5 minutes before louis starts resenting lestat all over again. based on what we know about louis's personality and patterns, though he loves lestat deeply, he also resents lestat for driving claudia away the first time and in a twisted way, also for making claudia and making himself into a vampire. with these complex emotions, it wouldn't take long until louis hates lestat for choosing to save louis over claudia. he wouldn't be grateful for lestat saving him, he would hate himself and lestat for not saving claudia instead. and just like the years claudia ran away, they would be unhappy all over again, repeating the same cycle.
i believe a part of lestat knew this. and that's why he didn't admit he saved louis when loumand confronted him in the lair. he knew that even if he told louis the truth, there was no saving the relationship at that point in time and he knew that him not being able to save claudia would drive a wedge between them. on top of that, lestat feels the guilt of not being able to save claudia himself.
The Vampire Armand on the subject of The Child Vampire Claudia.
All excerpts from The Vampire Armand.
"Maîtresse…" Armand whined, trailing after her like a lost puppy as she got ready for the evening. "No." "But—" "I said, no, Armand." "Why—" Claudia whirled around, abruptly losing her patience with him. "Because I said so, that's why!" She didn't deign to look back at him, sure that Armand was giving her a look like he was the most tortured soul in all of Paris, no, the world. It would work on her, too, which she hated. With Armand shirtless from sleep and covered in all the little marks Claudia'd had to work to leave on him early that morning, he was at his most pitiful. Claudia continued to dress, wriggling into the tight, satin sheath dress Armand had laid for her, combing out her hair with an antique (even more antique than herself) mother of pearl comb—one of a whole set, a gift for their anniversary last year. It made the destitute little girl living in a cramped boarding house inside of her thrill to use something so fancy. The silence persisted as she did her makeup. Claudia was still annoyed at Armand questioning her, and Armand always got all kicked dog when she yelled at him. She let it stretch on, waiting for her boy to gather his pride and come crawling back. Claudia clasped on a string of pearls, or rather, attempted to. The necklace (yet another gift from Armand, oh Jesus, now she was starting to feel bad for snapping) had a tricky clasp. She was going to have to ask for help. Armand broke at the same time she did, coming over swiftly to take the necklace from her hands, just as she drew breath to speak. "I should not have questioned you, Maîtresse. My apologies." He sounded sincere, and she really was starting to feel a little niggle of guilt, so Claudia threw him a bone. "Kneel for me." He did, head bowed, hands folded in his lap back straight. Perfect form. Claudia laid a gloved finger under his chin, tilting his head up to look at her. "You know I love you, don't you?" She murmured. "Yes, of course. I would never doubt that." "And you know that whatever I do, even if you don't understand my choices, is in our best interest?" "I was wrong to—" She put her finger to his lips. "Shhhh. Yes or no. Is everything I do in our best interests?" "Yes, Maîtresse." It was an awkward angle for kissing, but she couldn't resist. Armand's plump, pouty lips called to her. Her hand found it's way into his hair, even as one of his snaked it's way under her dress to clutch at her thigh. Breaking the kiss before it got too heated, Claudia took a moment to close her eyes and breathe before saying. "I know you don't like it. I don't like going out without my guard dog either, but folks gotta do all kinds of stuff they don't like sometimes. Like it or not, this is an important gala, and having a white face there with me will open up a lotta doors for us." She papped him hard on the cheek, almost a slap. "I'm not replacing you with the likes of Daniel Molloy, Dog. He's a means to an end, you hear me?" Armand nodded, sniffing slightly. Terribly insecure, that man, for someone who could turn a rival inside out with just a thought. Still, she privately thought that it was a little sweet that he got jealous over her. "Now here's what you're going to do while I'm gone." Claudia walked over to the closet and pulled out a large box, making sure to bend at the waist and show off her very few assets as she did. "You're going to pick something nice and big from the toy box here, and then you're gonna crawl into the crate and get yourself ready for me to play with when I get home. That sound good to you?" One look at his face told her it sounded more than okay. Problem solved.
#13 claudmand?
oh ur MIND
13. …discreetly.
"But what about—"
"He doesn't need to know," Armand tells her, low and even. Smooth, like the skin of his palm where it brushes over Claudia's cheek. "This is the business of the coven. He is not in the coven."
And Claudia is a lot of things, but she isn't self-sabotaging. She doesn't feel the need to ruin something good by thinking about it too much. "Yeah, all right," she says, before tugging him closer by the hair none-too-gently. She'll be punished for her insolence later, she's sure, but for now there are more important matters at hand.
His mouth isn't a perfect fit where it slots against hers. If anything, it feels distinctly wrong. Like the wrong teeth are tugging at her bottom lip, the wrong tongue stroking her own. It only makes the whole thing hotter, makes desire pool between her thighs throbbing and insistent.
Armand must notice, or maybe he's just particularly enterprising, because the fingers of his other hand begin to skate up her leg and under the hem of her Baby Lulu dress. Instinctively, Claudia widens her stance, opens herself for him and grants him implicit permission even though he doesn't really need it. He could take it anyway, is powerful enough to do whatever he'd like to her, but she submits of her own accord. Because she wants it, wants this, wants to feel like she's a part of something.
He smirks against her mouth, sliding his hand higher. But obnoxiously, he stops his slow creep upwards just as he meets the apex of her thighs. Merely strokes his nails over the edge of her underwear, a gentle and repetitive motion that makes Claudia squirm. "Ask me for it." The softness of his voice makes it no less of a command.
"Please, Maître." Saying it is humiliating, and she can feel heat rising to her cheeks. It doesn't stop her. "Touch me."
He hums in feigned thoughtfulness. "Do you think you can keep your mind quiet?" he asks. "He's in the audience tonight, ready to watch your big debut. We wouldn't want him to hear."
"I can," she promises, voice high and thin. "Please."
Armand nods. "All right, then." He strokes his thumb directly over the fabric covering her, and pleasure sparks light and fizzy in her bones. However, he only repeats the motion twice more before he pulls away entirely.
Claudia is about to protest, to whine at the relentless tease of it, but then she realizes that Armand is lowering himself to his knees.
"In honor of your service," he says, tone playful, though there is an undeniable seriousness underlying the words. "And your continued loyalty to the coven."
And then his mouth is on her, and Claudia is too busy seeing stars to think about anything else.

You rolled 27! A kiss in greeting. No pairing specified so I made it claudmand bc ofc I did
Armand strolled into the theater, with a jaunty little spring in his step, keys jingling merrily as he went. It was clear that he had woken up on the right side of the coffin that day and from there that things had just gotten better. The gathered members almost unsettling to see him with so much energy, no furrowed brow or the sensual little pout in sight. “You're late" Claudia called without looking. He wasn't, of course. There was no time limit on the errand she'd sent him on, but it pleased them both for her to flex her authority. No one needed to know that the contrition in his face was feigned or that the subtle shake to his shoulders was excitement rather than fear. Armand approached Claudia and knelt. With great reverence, all traces of playfulness erased, he took her by the hand and kissed her knuckles. “Apologies, Maître. How may I make it up to you?”
mayhaps going to get hate for this but claudia x armand should NOT be that controversial
they’re toxic —> so is every other ship
he mistreated her —> so does every other ship
she’s too young —> she’s immortal
she’s biologically too young —> ableist undertones and no one cares when it’s claudeleine
he’s her “stepdad” —> he only knew her as louis’s sister and never wanted or pretended to be anything close to a father figure
it doesn’t make sense —> it’s a ship
they hate each other —> it’s a ship
it’s not canon —> it’s a ship
I have not seen anyone else point out this detail. In the last supper scene at the end of s2 ep6 Claudia asks Armand “how are you liking my coffin?”
After he “left” the coven to move in with Louis Armand spends months SLEEPING IN CLAUDIAS COFFIN.
