No but what kind of fucked up experiment is Armand actually doing with Alex? By the end of the season he’s got the foundational trauma of all the other major characters courtesy of Armand, and I think the whole ‘destroying the band’ bullshit and much more effectively executed Alex-is-a-mole plotline was a red herring for this.

Alex is a human who looks like Nicki, he’s a musician Lestat respects, we’re told he has ‘mood swings’ (last one isn’t shown so I’m taking it with a grain of salt tho), he’s brought into the company of vampires because of Lestat specifically. He’s got Daniel’s substance abuse issues, missing memories because Armand has tampered with his brain, he relapses like Daniel does, then starts dressing just like him. He has a brother he’s very close to that kills himself, just like Louis did. He asks to be made a vampire, and fucking Gabriella becomes his maker/“mother”, a parallel of Lestat.

What’s up with that? What’s Armand doing here?
