John Lennon's bathtub scene in A Hard Day's Night
for claudberg because we were discussing this the other day AND bc it's still the best scene :D
QUESTION TIME for claudberg
OLD QUESTIONSÂ (give reasons):
1. favourite band and song (not necessarily from the band)?
ugh damn it... soooo right now my brain sings Iwan Rheon - Your Soul mostly bc I've been listening to 8 songs of his on repeat for the past two weeks (and you very well know that this is partly your fault :P). Answer for my favourite band would be The Horrors simply because A) the make good music, B) they seem to be five decent human beings (and that is an important factor for me) and C) they've introduced me to more good music all across the genres than any other band ever has - and, not to sound cheesy, but I'm grateful :)
2. favourite blog (apart from mine of course :))?
maybe a combination of Amanda Fucking Palmer and Neil Gaiman - because they are wonderful people and make me laugh AND because the way they reblog each other is highly adorable
3. countries you want to visit?
Turkey (Istanbul) because I'm fascinated by the in-between-ness; Russia (St. Petersburg) because I have a friend from there who keeps sending me the prettiest pictures (and I can now say hedgehog in Russian so thats a start); America - I want to see for myself; Japan - I want to experience this crazy, pink, electronic world (I know there's a countryside, but you know what I mean)
4. best time of the year?
I know you didn't ask for season but my answer is still autumn - decent temperatures, no pollen, wonderful colours, wind, rain, fog and although I'm not in school anymore it still gives me this feeling of the beginning of something new :)
5. best play youâve ever seen?
gotta be HAKOAH WIEN. I might be a little biased here but since other people have told me that they've seen it twice because it was so good, I'm not the only one with this opinion. For me, it's the perfect combination of a good cast, good writing, being relative for the present, presenting a new perspective on the past and humour
NEW QUESTIONS
giving this a new twist this time - a question you would ask the following five people (and again: give reasons)
1. J.K. Rowling
2. Kaiserin Sissy (or Romy Schneider, whichever you prefer)
3. Dagobert Duck
4. a panda in a zoo
5. the spider in the corner of your room (imagine one if there is non)
questionaire
I know weâre only sending this to each other but itâs fun nevertheless (if anyone wants to participate feel free to do so :D)
OLD QUESTIONSÂ (give reasons):
1. live music vs. listening at home
I'd say listening at home. I can only recall a couple of concerts I truly enjoyed, more often than not I end up hating the band I used to love so much that I thought buying a ticket for a concert would be a good idea. I definitely prefer small shows to big concerts - to many people distract me I guess
2. tea vs. coffee
one year ago I would have easliy said none of the above, I'll have a cacao, thank you very much. 9 months in scotland with an irish flatmate changed me rather fundamentally in that respect. tea, with milk and sugar.
3. day vs. night
night - I can concentrate better, I love going for walks in the middle of the night and if everything else fails, there are still some stars to watch.
4. tree vs. flower
tree. you can hardly climb a flower, unless you're a who, but I guess if I were a who, I wouldn't know that lived on a flower, now would I? which means that even if I were who, I'd choose a tree, I just wouldn't know that it wasn't really a tree I'm climbing but merely a part of the flower I'm living on. this answer became more complicated than I thought it would.
5. sudoku vs. solitaire
sudoku, it's not a gamble and patience game like solitaire. I used to solve quite a lot of sudokus until I got bored with it - I like new challenges and always look out for new puzzles
NEW QUESTIONS (give reasons ;))
1. favourite band and song (not necessarily from the band)?
2. favourite blog (apart from mine of course :))?
3. countries you want to visit?
4. best time of the year?
5. best play you've ever seen?
soooo... finally. my answers to the questions i got asked by claudberg :) damn it... it took me way too long to get to do this... but here they are
Claudberg's QUESTIONS
1. what do you think about myersbriggs personalty types?
(i actually had to google this first. oh the shame...) BUT a guess that as with all categories like this, it is good to have them but a bad idea to think that they are universally and without question true.
2. which is your favourite doctor/companion coupling (made up ones included)?
uuuuhhhhh. i love my 11th and i love donna. so seeing them interact would be a dream come true (although not as a couple...) but i'm afraid they probably would just drive each other mad :D
3. how do you prepare for a trip abroad? do you just go or plan ahead?
both really. i've never gone anywhere without having figured out a place to stay first. so i'd say i plan the basics but once i'm in a city i love to just walk around and take in the atmosphere without too much of a plan where i'm going
4. what was the first tumblr post you really liked?
seriously? I have NO idea. the boosh and the horrors and sherlock were the things that brought me here though so probably something like that :)
5.what is your opinion about the trend in giving awards for acting for performances where an actual person was the subject (eg the meryl streep as margareth thatcher)
sounds like a good idea because it IS something different to portray an actual person then to make a fictional one come to life.
I know we're only sending this to each other but it's fun nevertheless (if anyone wants to participate feel free to do so :D)

1. If you had the chance - which country/region in the world would you move to? australia - go big or stay home.                           also: it wouldn't be that difficult to adjust nationality wise. seriously: they like beer and bbq, we like beer and bbq, they have kangaroos, we have tshirts specifically stating that we do not, they are an immensly big country that no one gives a damn about when it comes to foreign politics, we used to be a big country but now no one gives a damn about what we do foreign politics wise. it's a match amde in the dictionary.
2. If you think about home, what colour comes to your mind? green
3. What language would you like to learn? (bonus âpointâ for why) japanese - I think it's a very beautiful language. also: living in japan would be easier (in case the australia plan falls through)
4. Is there one song/band that you could never delete from your playlist/computer even if your taste changed? I don't know - I guess the beatles (this couldn't be more predictable if I tried.)
5. Do you sing in the shower or car? What? of course I do, I think people who don't are just weird. whatever's on the radio/playlist

1. Does the fact that so many Boosh fans seem to be depressed, bipolar or cutters upset you, or does it confirm your belief that the Boosh are a positive force? puh, it's hard to answer that. It does make me sad to think that a lot of people suffer in general. But I do hope that the Boosh can help them to feel better. They certainly make me smile no matter what mood I'm in :)
2. If you met Noel or Julian, would you be able to talk in coherent sentences, or at all? Knowing me I'd be too much of a coward to even walk up to either of them. But if I got to speak to them I hope that I'd be able to at least ask them how they are haha
3. Would you scream and possibly pee your pants if an announcement was made that the Boosh movie was finally being made? Would it matter where you were when you heard? First reaction would probably be not being able to speak at all. Just sitting/standing there with my mouth wide open...
4. What is your favorite word? hm... my favourite english word is "lobster". favourite german/austrian word "daham" which basically means "at home" - yeah, I know but I just love being at home :)
5. If you could only listen to one musical group/artist. who would you pick? right now: the horrors
