HI i saw your [s] make her pay edit where you removed aradia and i was wondering if you'd be willing to talk about how you were able to do that?? i've been wanting to learn how to make flashes myself for a while and i'm wondering if downloading the flashes has all of the assets in it (like a photoshop file with all of the layers). also where/how did you download it? :0
The method I used is very bad and i'm not sure it even works properly, i wasn't able to export the flash as a flash file, and I had to add music in afterwards, but here's my process anyway: First I downloaded every single flash file used in homestuck, it's included in the unofficial homestuck collection, but if you want the specific one, just open up the page on the website, open the Inspector and search for ".swf" and try and find the link to the .swf (the flash file)
that will automatically download it (I use Firefox so it might be different). All assets used in that flash are included in the file, and can be decompiled using a program called FFDEC, (JPEXS Free Flash Decompiler). You can extract sprites and stuff individually or all at once, but to edit the flash just "Export to FLA" as Adobe Flash/Animate can't read swf files
Note that during this process the sound/music gets lost and I really don't know how any of this works. Anyway, I opened that in Adobe animate, and all the sprites are on different layers and such meaning I could easily remove someone as it's just deleting some things here and there. I only had to actually edit a sprite once and I don't remember how I did that, but if I was able to figure it out, you might be able to as well. I couldnt export it as a swf as some actionscript stuff was missing, I think using an older version of Adobe Flash would have it work, but idk. Have fun? Was this even helpful?
