This traditional hummus recipe makes a flavorful, creamy dip that's great for parties or as a snack. It's very easy to make and tastes great with warm pita bread or fresh veggies.
Ingredients: 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed. 1/4 cup tahini. 3 tablespoons lemon juice. 2 cloves garlic, minced. 2 tablespoons olive oil. 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin. Salt and pepper to taste. 2 tablespoons water or more as needed. Paprika and olive oil for garnish.
Instructions: Use a food processor to blend together garlic, olive oil, cumin, salt, pepper, tahini, and lemon juice. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to make the mixture smooth. Gradually add water until you get the consistency you want. Check the seasoning and make changes if needed. Put the food in a bowl to serve, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika. You can eat it with pita bread or your favorite vegetables.
