Been sitting on this video for a while but decided to finally share it. I posted an AI generated pic of me and Jeremy Brett's Sherlock Holmes before, and someone commented on it saying it was disrespectful to his memory..... harsh. I think this person forgot they were on Tumblr and this is a place for sharing your creations and your love for stuff. Tumblr is full of people posting pics of Jeremy, Sherlock and Johnlock artwork and links to AO3 stories. So not sure why that pic was so offensive to this person. But anyways, I wrote my own fanfic with Sherlock called His Greatest Deduction: Calm And Chaos. One day back in January, I thought wouldn't it be insane if someone from the future went back to 1890 and met Sherlock Holmes? And 2 months later, I had completed a 200K+ word story. I decided to make this character me because hell, that's fun. (And does my character and Sherlock fall in love in this story? Of course they do.) My/her name in this story is Anji Moriarty. She works for a company named Quantum in the time travel division called Tempus. This company is run by her uncle, Victor Moriarty. Victor has always had a vendetta against Sherlock Holmes for killing his ancestor, Professor James Moriarty. He spends years training Anji to be a top Jumper (a time travel agent), to send her back in time to kill Sherlock Holmes before he can kill Professor Moriarty. She is able to time travel via a ring she wears called a Chronus. She takes the mission knowing she doesn't plan to kill him, but knows if she doesn't take it, Victor will just send another agent back to to do the job, and Anji wants to protect Sherlock. Her uncle is a ruthless, paranoid man, and she's always hated him. Anji jumped from 2025 back to 1890 London. She acts like a client and fabricates a case in order to meet Sherlock. Long story short, a whole bunch of stuff happens, they find out Anji is from the future, she's gone rogue and Sherlock, Watson and Mycroft come to 2025 with Anji to her safehouse. Anji goes to Quantum to kill Victor, and the 3 men come with her. In this scene, Victor has figured out how to use his Chronus to cloak, and Anji realizes it when it's too late. Victor shoots her in the neck, killing her. Sherlock realizes he can use his Chronus to go back in time and kill Victor before he kills Anji. In the actual story, it is a lengthy, heart-wrenching scene. Since Sherlock is unfamiliar with Chronus technology, every time he jumps back in time, he keeps missing the window and has to see Anji get killed over and over again, until he finally gets the timing right and kills Victor first. This would've been way too hard and time-consuming to render in AI, so I shortened to him traveling back the one time.
I used ChatGPT to generate an image of the Victor character, and I uploaded pictures of me, Jeremy as Sherlock, and the Victor picture all into Vidu AI to create all these clips. At the time I made this, Vidu could only generate 4 second long videos. And AI is unpredictable and doesn't always get the videos right based on your prompts. There is about 50 clips in this scene, and each clip took about 20 attempts to get it to look how I wanted, and even then, some of the clips I had to slow down, speed up, or play in reverse when I finally edited the whole scene. I brought all the clips into InShot and spliced them all together, added the music, sound effects, and some transition effects. This project took a few weeks to complete. (I worked on it at night after I was done at my actual job for the day lol.) I want to post my story on AO3, but it's huge, and I don't know the word limit for AO3, so I will have to look into it.
