I think one of the things that immediately got me on board with Cisco x Cynthia is that she brings out a confidence in him that heâs never exhibited with another woman that he was romantically interested in. Out of all the women heâs been attracted to, I never felt like the connection was at all equal with the two of them. The narrative always made it seem like he was reaching and that was irritating to see. Now, Cindy and Cisco have only interacted for two episodes but their interactions are so significant, not only because Jessica Camacho does a brilliant job of adding depth to a character we know barely anything about, but because it shows immense growth on Ciscoâs part. She makes him want to step up to match her strength, and thatâs not to say that Cisco isnât strong but there are times when he doesnât realize it. And the confidence he shows when heâs around her doesnât take away from the man that he already is, to me it adds to it.Â
So itâs really annoying seeing people call him arrogant, just because theyâre used to seeing him be insecure. Itâs fucking annoying to see someone say that heâs a âprecious cinnamon rollâ and it makes them uncomfortable to see Cisco assert himself, even though itâs very clear that his and Cindyâs feelings are mutual.
And itâs so goddamn telling how the people in this fandom will literally break their backs to find Cisco problematic when heâs not a version of himself that they can freely infantilize. Cindy came at the exact right time, because what weâre seeing is a Cisco thatâs finally starting to believe in himself. If that really makes you uncomfortable you need to self-reflect on why exactly that is.Â
You can vibe? Oh, I like it.
Cynthia: Cisco is such a dork. i can't believe i'm gonna kiss him
Iris: i mean......you don't have to
Cynthia: no i'm gonna
Who is this gorgeous intruder?

Um I wrote this, so read this?
cynthia + cisco with a coffee shop AU
cisco is only a barista because his paid internship at star labs covers his rent and bills but doesnât quite support his junk food and Steam game addiction (plus, you knowâŚfree coffee)
cynthia is his favorite regular, even ranking above the old man with the crazy hats who leaves a twenty in the tip jar every time he comes in and is served by cisco, the superhero only person behind the counter before 9am because management fired stacy two months ago and hasnât replaced her yet
he has her favorite drink memorized (americano with a shot of hazelnut syrup; he always adds a little chocolate to it for free. she hasnât said anything about it but he often catches her smile when she takes her first sip)
cynthia started going to that shop because it was on her way to work; a few months after she started going there, her job transferred her to an office on the other side of town, but she still goes 20 minutes out of her way to go to THAT coffee place. if anyone asks her why, she cites the amazing coffee, but itâs really because of the cute barista who always adds a little chocolate to her coffee
cynthia doesnât even need to order anymore; more than once, after an all-nighter, sheâs zombie-walked up to the counter and just groaned. cisco always knows what she wants.
theyâre both scared to ask each other out; cisco is worried she doesnât feel the same and doesnât want to scare his best customer off, and cynthia doesnât want to make him feel uncomfortable at work or obligated to be nice to her because she gives him money
eventually cynthiaâs the one to break the ice because the sexual tension was getting really out of control; one day their hands brushed while cisco was handing over her cup and she just blurted out, âwe should have dinner this fridayâ to which a startled cisco replied, âi like dinnerâ and then cynthia walked out without getting any of his information and it was the most mortifying moment of either of their lives
eventually, though, they had dinner and lived happily ever after
send me a pairing and an AU and iâll give you 5+ headcanons
Cyndicso: "what an entrance"
Okay so I know they never call Cynthia anything other than her nickname on the show, and for obvious reasons I wasnât gonna use it. So I tried to make it obvious who I was talking about through her characterization. Hopefully it was clear.Â
This would be the fourth time this week Ciscoâs coffee has mysteriously disappeared. Which wasâit was fucking weird. Heâd be at Jitters, set his coffee down, look away for a second. And every time, every time, itâd be gone when he turned back around.Â
