Right-wing radio host and former National Rifle Association spokesperson Dana Loesch has launched a political action committee that aims to elect three Republican congressional candidates in the 2020 elections. The PACâs first ad depicted Loesch and the candidates with an arsenal of assault weapons and other firearms and attacked left-wing protesters.
The ad, which was released on October 29, seems to be an attempt to put a comedic twist on the disturbing phenomenon of far-right individuals appearing with guns and confronting participants at recent protests against police brutality and other issues, sometimes with the tacit approval of the police. During one such anti-police brutality protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin, a 17-year-old far-right supporter of President Donald Trump fatally shot two men with an AR-15-style assault weapon and seriously wounded another.
The ad first depicts âthe armies on the leftâ in hyperbolic terms, including âthe Marxists,â âthe ecofreaks,â âthe pink hatsâ (a reference to supporters of the Womenâs March), âthe wokes,â and âthe sore losersâ (an allusion to Hillary Clinton supporters). The ad then introduces âthe red state warriorsâ: Florida Republican congressional candidate and QAnon sympathizer Anna Paulina Luna, Virginia Republican congressional candidate Aliscia Andrews, Tennessee Republican congressional candidate Diana Harshbarger, and Loesch.

The ad was produced for the 2nd to None PAC, a political action committee set up by Loesch. Her husband, Chris Loesch, is listed as the PACâs designated agent in Federal Election Commission filings. According to the PACâs donation page, it is a âjoint fundraising effortâ with the campaigns of the candidates featured in the ad.
Loesch was previously the NRAâs national spokesperson and a host for the gun groupâs failed online broadcast outlet, NRATV. She and the NRA were widely criticized in 2017 when Loesch appeared in an ad that was seen as fomenting violence against left-wing protesters.

I wonder if Acosta can imagine what it feels like when his network allows guest after guest day after day to refer to you as a murderer. To refer to 6 million law-abiding Americans as people who hate children and are terrible parents, simply because we believe in the right of self defense. As Derek Hunter, author of Outrage Inc., who was on the show just this week, he said on this program yesterday it wasnât journalists on the baseball field over a year ago who were shot by a Bernie bro. It wasnât journalists who were attacked in Sen. Rand Paulâs [R-KY] yard resulting in life threatening injuries. It wasnât journalists who were trapped in their office -- in their building in Portland by rioters and when they called for police, they were told that police couldnât help them because they didnât like their profession. Itâs not journalists being run out of college campuses under threats of violence with property-destroying rioters. It isnât journalists who had their homes targeted with paint, their boats vandalized, their children threatened with kidnapping and worse because of what they believe or what they do. It isnât journalists who had to move because they support natural rights. It isnât journalists who are being doxxed. It isnât journalists who are being told by lawmakers to confront -- that lawmakers telling people to confront them in running them out of America. It isnât journalists who are constantly referred to as people who share teeth and referred to as -- or itâs intimated that theyâre backwoods, racist hillbillies by other media types infuriated by that Hillary didnât win. No, you see the media has actually done this to average Americans. The media has treated its audience this way.
