Day 7: Our Butterfly Kindred🦋

As we conclude #chokaruiweek2025, I just want to give a HUGE shoutout to @servenna and @twnj for the awesome fics and art you made for this project. I'm still gushing over @servenna's The Best Worst Date and @twnj for exploring themes of body image and body confidence through their war scars. All that to say, THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME 🧡

Day 4: "I love you in any shape or form."

So the story goes, Choji comes back home from a mission injured. He's overused his Chō Mōdo and Karui demands to nurse him back to his original form :)

I'll make another post on here about how Choji and Karui's characters are both heavily centered around body image (Choji feeling too big, Karui being viewed as skinny and tomboyish compared to other women). But I love that these two are paired together because I can see them offering what the other needs: affirmation that they are loved regardless of their shape or form.
