Colour Pop’s “Golden State Of Mind” Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette: IS IT JUST ME?: Or am I the only one who just was NOT that impressed with this palette???______ya? ______no? Because I found myself already reaching for one of my regular everyday palettes just after the 1st or 2nd color swatch! And that’s not typically something I do when I get a nice brand new pretty palette; I usually want to bask in a new palettes world of colors & textures & play with them until I end up looking like a street hooker. But this one... it was like I knew it was no good, right away. I wasn’t just disappointed - I was certain, that I had no interest in any further dealings with it. How I’d describe it: Each color appeared the same orangey weak-formulated shimmer dust as the one before it - & some of the colors even seemed to go onto my skin looking like a different color that was set in the palette. That to me is a sign of “cheap.” Speaking of ‘cheap,’ that brings me to exactly what I was going to say about this palette next. I feel like the product brushed on my eyelids like a some awful non-branded 99 cent store eyeshadow; forcing me to really pack it on just to get a minimal effect. I would actually compare this to that of a children’s Tinkerbell play makeup set. My reasons for disliking it: The weak pigments, the colors going onto my skin looking different then they did in the palette, the same greasy application in each color selection that seemed to reflect the same glare that seemed to make each color I put on look pretty much just like every other colors in the palette & who the hell wants to look like their wearing one greasy orange shimmer shadow when they actually put in the time & effort to create a look of varying definition; with a complimentary contrast featuring a standout blend of mattes & shimmers? Not ME. So I JUST wanna know, Am I the only one who thinks this way about the Colour Pop “Golden State of Mind” eyeshadow palette?
