i love surrounding myself with childish things because i couldn’t enjoy them as a kid. i love my pretty pastel bedding. i love my anna and elsa barbies. i love all my stuffed animals — yes they are all named. i love my simple coloring books. i love my building blocks. i love my arts and crafts. i love my princess movies. i love now what i couldn’t love then.
Having A Childlike Attitude
We are supposed to be childlike when we receive the Kingdom (Luke 18:15-17). My questions to you are: What does it mean to receive the Kingdom? and What is the fastest way to become childlike? Why I say "fastest" is because we don't know when JESUS will come back. Take a look at Matthew 24:36-51. We cannot delay about following God's commands. We can mull over about what the commands mean, but if we don't get our backsides moving and do it, we are not following the commands. Here are a few areas to consider to be more childlike: • Trusting We should trust God completely, just as a child trusts a parent. A child knows that his parents will take care of him. Proverbs 3:5 says: "Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding." GOD shows us that HE will take care of us (Matthew 6:25-34). • Love GOD loves us. HE literally sent HIS SON for us (John 3:16), so we might get to Heaven to be with HIM. It's the least we could do to return GOD'S love. • Hungry Matthew 5:6 says: " Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled." Just as children are always starving for physical food, we need to be starving for Spiritual food. We need to be hungry for what GOD says. If we don't have that hunger, we can't grow.
