🚫🍌Banana-Free Smoothie Substitute!🍌🚫 1 tbs chia seeds, mixed into 1/2 cup milk (I used "Original" soy milk so it was sweet) Let it soak for a half hour or longer! And that's it! ⬇️ For the smoothie, I also added a handful of frozen strawberries and raspberries, plus an acai packet, and about another half cup of milk. Blend it till it's smooth - and it's the creamiest smoothie I've ever had, it's just like a mikshake because of the way the chia seeds gel up! 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Seriously, it's amazing realising I can still have a smoothie after discovering I'm allergic to bananas. My whole life I thought smoothies were just supposed to burn your mouth because of the ice crystals and berry seeds; I was making excuses that the bananas were just too raw and that's why they made my mouth sting, but it just kept getting worse and worse the past couple years. I can't believe it took me so long to realise it was an allergy, but I resigned myself to thinking I wouldn't ever be able to have another smoothie... But then I got the bril idea to try adding chia pudding to a smoothie (since I've seen chia smoothies before, but they were super seedy/lumpy) and turns out that putting it in the blender makes it super fucking thick, if I didn't pour the soy milk myself, I would have thought it was made with whipping cream or something!! Such a frigging relief that I can still drink em, and it feels like a miracle to have a smoothie that doesn't immediately burn my tastebuds off!!!! 🤠✌🌌 #bananaallergy #bananafree #nobanana #bananasubstitute #smoothie #chiaseeds #chiapudding #chiasmoothie #acai #acaismoothie #lactosefree #yummy #smoothierecipe #food https://www.instagram.com/p/B0TsHgEA4u4/?igshid=1pqo8257p8geb
