Thunderbirds

This is the demonstration team of the U. S. Air Force. The plane model here is the F16 Fighting Falcon—built by General Dynamics.

I saw these flying around Traverse City, Michigan, as part of the annual Cherry Festival. I photographed these before, but they haven't been in town since the end of June 2019. While I only show five planes here, there were six in all.

Traverse City Airshow

These six images were taken at the Traverse City Cherry Festival Airshow.

The first two images show the USAF Thunderbirds, which are F-16s. The third image is a Czechoslovakian L-39 Albatros. The fourth pictures shows us a Harrier, a V-STOL aircraft, which originated in the UK.

The prop plane is a Beechcraft 18 or "Twin Beech" (AT-7C) that was built in 1943. And the final image is a “heritage flight” with an F-22 Raptor along side a successor aircraft to P51 Mustang of WWII and the Korean conflict—I believe this to be the only TF-51D.
