I'm planning out a fic now that involves that basic premise, but now it's angsty/dark because it both is more canon compliant because it will partially involve Angel leaving the Hotel to protect everyone, and because, to put it more gently, while Angel and Cherri are the ones who did the conceiving....Val was the one actually responsible for it.

cherridust is one of the most important relationships in this show, at least to me. I love their friendship SO much

i think it was released like, pre-show, right? so presumably only dubiously canon. but i remember i made a post on bsky a feewwww weeks back about how Cherri has likely had some nasty fucking relationships in her past (i mean, a lot of women have) and that's part of what connects her and Angel.

and that's a fairly strong implication you could draw from this music video, in my opinion. The way the scenes are contrasted while Angel is dancing and Cherri is blowing shit up- we KNOW Angel's dancing is catering to Valentino and we see shortly after when they're alone Angel is faced away and then Valentino forces him to kiss him. and the flashes of some random guy and Cherri… if Cherri hasn't had a nasty past with at least one man I would be shocked.

I love That Vaggie is the manager because she’s from heaven and is an Angel. Which mean she knows what it takes to be a redeemed person and had way better life in comparison to most people in Hell. So like?? I’m glad that went that way

I love that despite all the issues in writing and whatever, the concept is great and like, I like how many of the people are still human even with the terrible sins.

Also Another thing I love is Cherri and Angel’s relationship because it’s just totally them making the others feel good.

And their relationship is loving and sweet because Where Angel dust has a sister in heaven (Molly) who he can’t see, He treats Cherri as if she’s his sister figure.

Angel, Alastor, Husk, and Cherri have one island split into four distinct quadrants. Al & Husk are completionists who wanna time travel to get everything asap, Angel is like.. that defeats the whole point ffs. Cherri's just vibin' she doesn't care either way, much like the SDV saves. generally she wouldn't TT a lot but might make exceptions, whereas Angel never will.

Even Alastor and Husk can't agree on whether hacking is on the table & Angel is like "omggggg dont do that" but then he sees the star and crystal heart trees and is like. Maybe hacking is okay in this one instance. So Cherri gets Baxter on it lmao. those are the only things they end up hacking since ultimately Al and Husk want the challenge of completing the catalogue themselves.

Husk and Al are, as well, on TOP of the turnip exchange. Husk checks in the AM, Al the PM. they have a tracker app to figure out when best to sell, if they have time (and they usually do) they will open their island if they get a good enough price for a Small Fee, or hop to someone else's island to sell.

As well, Angel's corner of the island is super cute and pretty. Husk's has a nice vibe, but is always a WIP and he's prioritizing getting all the items over making it look nice at the moment. Alastor's is simply covered in flowers because he wants blue and gold roses and he wants to breed them himself. Cherri's corner is maximalist as fuck and she has a lot of the fruit & hardwood trees, a weird mesh of industrial and forest vibes going on.

Cherri and Pen have their own island on her copy of the game and Pen's more chill this time around, rather than the insanity of SDV. They also sorta split territories like the other 4 but it's more cohesive since there's only two of them and they plan and execute things together. Angel likes to visit their island a lot cuz his is chaotic as fuck (he may slightly regret making his copy the shared one lmao)

Husk & Alastor do have their own copies of the game as well, in part so they can game the system, swap shit/fill out the catalogue faster (they are also nookazon fiends). Angel commandeers Husk's copy a lot when Husk is on the shared save, so his island is all pink, black, and red. A lot of the cherry blossom collection, yknow. Husk doesn't mind at all, most of his effort goes towards the shared island because- oddly, as much as they don't always get along (thanks to Alastor being a bastard, mostly) he and Alastor always have worked together well in the first place (part of why Al keeps him around, anyway) so it's kinda weirdly fun and quaint coordinating with him. They're both very dedicated to filling out the museum, too. Sometimes they'll go on the shared island at the same time to check on things and just end up hanging out in there for a while.
