The Morningstars but as an Incredibles style superhero family where Lilith and Lucifer start dating Alastor and they all have to hide their identities but they just suck really bad at hiding their powers
I was thinking that Lucifer could have the power to shapeshift and in the safety of his own home he likes to turn into different animals and curl up and fall asleep in random places
So Alastor will come over and there will just be some type of animal on the couch and Lilith and Charlie have to say that Lucifer is their pet
Alastor: I haven't seen any kind of cage or enclosure or cage for your snake and bird...
Lilith: They're free range
Alastor: I haven't seen a litter box for the cat either
Charlie: We trained him to use the toilet
Alastor: I haven't seen any pet food anywhere
Lucifer: They eat dinner at the table with us
Alastor: I don't see any toys for them don't pets need enrichment?
Lilith: You're so right we're terrible pet owners we'll give them all away
Alastor wonders how long this type of thing will go on until they finally break and tell him the truth
I think all their superhero friends (I assume the Sins are their friends and fellow heroes) know that Alastor knows, and have a bet going on as to how obvious Alastor can be about knowing before the Morningstars figure it out. The problem is everyone is betting that he could tell Lucifer to his face that Al knows he's a shape shifter and Lucifer would panic and think Al was referencing some mundane non powered thing
The Mornigstars introduce the sins to Alastor and they're all shocked that they told their fairly new boyfriend about their powers. So after Alastor leaves they sit Lucifer and Lilith down because Alastor knowing that they have powers is extremely dangerous why the hell would they do that
Lucifer and Lilith just kind of stare at them like ??? We didn't tell him ??? He doesn't know ??? What are you talking about ???
And the sins just look at each other and the second Lucifer and Lilith are out of sight they start the betting pools
What is gonna have to happen for Lucilith to realize that Alastor knows? Cuz I feel like they are so deep in denial right now that he could go up to their superhero personas, unmask them, call them by both their superhero and real names in the same sentence, and at least Lucifer is able to justify it away? Also, does Alastor have powers in the verse? Or maybe no powers but he uses magic and just never elaborates that it isn't superpowers?
Lucifer and Lilith are going to PANIC when they find out.
In this universe superheroes have become illegal. A lot of them were arrested when this law passed but most of them (including Lucifer and Lilith) went into hiding. If anyone finds out about their powers they could be arrested or worse.
They're mostly worried about Charlie who was born after the law had passed and has powers that she can never use even though she so badly wants to be a superhero like her parents used to be.
They love Alastor but this is their daughter's life they're talking about and they do not like that Alastor's holding it in his hands.
I do think at one point they're going to have to address it even if they don't want to out of fear. Either Alastor finally brings it up or he's standing RIGHT there as they're using their powers. Lucifer will try to play it off but Lilith will finally let herself admit that they're not as safe as she'd thought they'd been.
Alastor has to reassure them that he won't say anything but it takes them a long time to fully believe that.
And nope! Alastor doesn't have powers. I was thinking that his mother might though and she was one of the first superheroes that was arrested. This gives him a connection to superheroes, a personal hatred for the law, and a reason to have hidden the fact that he knew about their powers so long (he doesn't want to endanger them and watch them be ripped away from him and each other)

I think Vox tells people he's from New York but he starts sweating when somebody asks about it. I think he'd like to talk about the glitz and glamor of NYC but everyone is like. Are you SURE. He talks like he knows it, at least the version of new york a well-to-do white fellow would know, but he's also a liar and a poseur. He might not have been to nyc until later in life OR never at ALL. But nobody can know that. He's probably like. pennsylvania dutch or something. Just barely creeping into the appalachia and I think it kills him that he's not from big fancy new york
My favorite probably unintentional bit in Riverdale is how Kevin has zero chemistry with everyone they try to set him up with
I think Lilith was on social media. She had account on pretty much everything. She rarely posted and when she did it was usually something about the resistance or the next date for her concerts/rallies. But while she didn’t post a lot she spent a fair amount of time on it anyway just because it was a good way to keep in touch with her people and learn about what was currently going on with sinners.
Anyway what I'm saying is Lilith knows modern slang and she very rarely uses it but she DOES use it and not a single person in the hotel knows what to do about this
Actually y'know what fuck it Lilith does post online a lot and 95% of what the sinners know about Lucifer comes from Lilith posting vague shit like
"I cannot find my husband. There's quacking coming from somewhere inside the palace. Nothing good can come of this."
And not a single person knows what that means but they can't say they're not intrigued

I'd say a B! I do love this one but I don't usually go looking for it specifically. I adore when it shows up in something I'm reading though. I've also actually written it myself in my fic One Last Tomorrow and I do plan on writing it again but in different circumstances and with different ships.

Give me a fanfiction trope and I’ll grade it:
A: Love it. Spend my time combing AO3 for it.

I like to think that Lucifer is Roo's favorite person but in the same way that being God's favorite person is not a good thing.
She likes to show up every once in awhile to bother him and fuck up his life for fun just to see how he reacts. She laughs when he begs her to leave because they both know he'll give into her like he always does.
Lucifer hates her, he's drawn to her, he regrets letting her out, he dreams of her when she's gone. He doesn't know what's wrong with him or what she's done to him.
She calls him her knight in shining armor for setting her free from her prison but he knows she's mocking him. He isn't really her savior he's just her favorite play thing. Roo may be free but Lucifer never will be.
Roo is Eve. Roo is disguised as Lilith. Roo is Rosie. Roo is Charlie’s mother. Roo is inside of Charlie. Roo is Alastor's mother. Roo is Alastor's father. Roo owns Lilith's soul. Roo owns Rosie's soul. Roo is watching from the eyes scattered around hell.
