Continuing my Xaden Riorson hyperfixation, I'm on to reading the actual books.
Originally I listened to the graphic audio of both books and I absolutely LOVE his voice actor. To me he's perfect, deep but not too deep, cocky, sassy, sexy... Yeeess.
But as much as I love the graphic audios for their emersiveness, each character having their own voice, sound effects etc, sometimes I got confused following characters in scenarios, figuring out who's talking etc, since they cut out the 'X person said' parts of the dialogue.
So I started reading to see what I missed. They skipped a lot of the descriptive parts of the writing showing the details of rooms and scenarios etc.
But I also realized they skipped a lot of the movements and gestures characters make, especially Xaden! Based on the graphic audio alone, he seemed very very composed and stoic. They kept most of the mentions of his wall leanings, hands crossed over chest, the glares and stares.
But the book also has lots of him groaning, sighing, raking his hands through his hair, dragging his hand down his face! Mostly in response to Violet putting herself in danger 🤣🤣🤣🤣.
My poor boy is STRESSED and worried out of his GD mind and I'm having a blast re-rereading and laughing at all the little expressions!
The Xaden brain rot continues.
