chanh and cam

flags for vietnamese folk who self-identify as, use the pronouns, and/or feel that being a chanh/cam in any way is important to their identity.
these are exclusive to vietnamese folk and those who fall under the nonbinary umbrella in any way. vietnamese does not have 'true' pronouns, but these count as vietnamese neopronouns that are exclusive to nonbinary folk. they're primarily used within queer vietnamese spaces (in reference to those who are 2-3 years older than another, as they're counterparts to anh and chị)—and were coined within such—without much significance or popularity outside of which.
while chanh can also mean "lemon" in english and many use it interchangeably, the word was originally intended to refer to limes—the more popular fruit within vietnam. chanh was also intended to be a combination of chị and anh, rather than simply being lime, in the context of nonbinaryhood. cam is a less popular alternative that was coined for those who might want to separate themself from the binary (and also means orange, to match with chanh).
