Eddie had been minding his own business, checking out the newest Metallica album at the record store when Robin Buckley had cornered him. They'd never spoken before, he knew about her, but their circles just about missed each other. Besides, now she now exclusively hung out Steve Harrington, King Steve.
…or well, ex-king. Harrington wasn't the king of anything nowadays, that was little Jason Carver, climbing the ranks with his Gospel and Glory attitude. Something about the alpha rankled Eddie, sent a shiver down his spine every time he flashed that smile. Seeing the way that two faced rat had climbed the social ladder had made him wish for Harrington back. It was only Hagan that had been a problem anyway.
No, Harrington had gone from odd job to odd job and Eddie hadn't seen the dude for a good while since he'd graduated. Though the hair lingered in the back of his mind, Eddie hadn't thought of the dude at all. Well he'd tried too. Taking on Harrington's pups had meant that he was hearing about the alpha every other day now. But this was still weird, curious.
He's not sure why Buckley's coming to him.

"Harrington's an alpha. He doesn't need a nest, Buckley, what are you sayin' here?" Eddie shoots back, elbow on the records. He flicks the ring on his left finger nervously.
