Something else occurred to me that I think the fandom could consider. I noticed that the dynamic between Edgeworth and Lang has pretty clear parallels to the dynamic between Gregory and Badd:
-Detective who doesn't play by the rules, who makes it very clear he does not trust lawyers and doesn't like them messing with his investigations
-Lawyer, within quite a short amount of time and at least regarding himself, changes detective's mind
-When pressing one of Badd's statements, Gusto will make a dog-shaped confection and say it's a lone wolf to represent Badd
-Badd even pulls the stock tsundere "I'm not doing this for you" lines re: helping Gregory and his assistant the way Lang constantly did in AAI1
-Obviously, Gregory was a big inspiration to Edgeworth as his father and Edgeworth's feelings about that were a huge part of his character, and Lang worked under Badd
Not sure what this means for the story, but I bet people might find it interesting!
I'M GLAD OTHER PEOPLE NOTICE THIS CAUSE IT'S ACTUALLY RIDICULOUS LMFAOOO
Like even down to the bowing and thanking them even though they'll brush the Edgeworths off...
I think It's really cute the team mimicked the dynamic Lang and Miles have with eachother with Gregory and Tyrell, I'm sure it was intentional to show how Gregory and Miles have to figure out a way to investigate but not overstep on their respective investigative partner's shoes.
But of course to me it reads extremely Gay and the concept of both of them acting like this to the 'lone wolf' detectives they're working with is really funny, like Wow who knew it was genetic.
