Highkey though Winwin’s popularity in China is no joke. He has the biggest fan base there so I think if SM keeps treating him this way it’s just going to backfire immensely with the fans there. But idk what do you think will happen if he keeps getting disrespected by SM? Do you think the Chinese fans will speak out?
first point is very valid, and it’s been on my mind since the whole 127 JPN concert issue too :// i heard cfans are already speaking up about sicheng’s situation on weibo, but i can’t really verify since my country of residence doesn’t let me make an acc there (my phone no.’s country code isn’t valid) ;-;
he really does have a sizeable fandom there relative to the other members though, and cpop culture is quite different from kpop culture, in that they don’t spare their criticisms to ‘spare the reputation of the group as a whole’ (solo-stanning is common— it’s not a bad thing), so i expect that if the rumored ‘march comeback’ still treats sicheng like shit cfans are really gonna start forcing things to happen, and they’re not just gonna be limited to twt tag parties this time (in other words, they might boycott wayv— unfortunate but the way i see it it’s a likely event).
my question is why wwbar isn’t saying anything… my theory is that they’re still surveying the situation and waiting for wayv to come out with an album that actually makes profit and still sidelines sicheng like he doesn’t carry most of their fanbase on his shoulders (just based on stats); because then they’d be completely irrefutable. i just hope they’re not saying anything bcos they’re actually just choosing to turn a blind eye to this completely sjnbhsjs
