"Ganymede, son of Erichthonius, whom Jove loved." 271 Hyginus, Fabulae
WHAT WHO LET HYGINUS COOK. This is a wild version. I was researching Erikhthonios because the version where he assaults Athena doesn't seem as prevalent in actual Greek (not later Roman interpretations) mythology as much as I thought, and I even started to wonder if this was an ancient joke I was missing (Cerops daughter killing themselves because a child is crippled, not because he has snake legs?)
