You find respite in your metals and fire

But was the wound in your heart welded shut?

God of the forge, you understand those who are lost and forgotten

God of flame, you understand those whom have been cast aside

God of metal, do you find similarity in those who struggle?

With your strong hands and limitless creation, you uplift those who can relate

A child who’s shunned at school

A teen who’s been cast away from their home

An adult who works hard, but sees no good come their way

You, lord of the forge, uplift and inspire

You, lord who carries the hammer, are a sanctuary

A sanctuary to those who are forgotten and mistreated

Hephaestus, Olympus’s strong-handed inventor, you know sorrow, yes, it is clear
