Happy STS!! Let's say Tristan and Crispin are plopped inside Disney World. What would their favorite rides be? Which characters would they want autographs from the most?
Thanks for sending this a while ago lol I love this 😭If I could, I would take them both to Disney World!! (This will probably be way outdated, it's been years since I've been to Disney...)
As with the Walmart scenario, Tris and Cris would be convinced they were in some fairy world (this time they wouldn't be too far off). But again, they'd be confused and alarmed by the fact this realm is filled with mortals. They would lay low at first or even hide, but soon enough would emerge and explore, probably at the urging of Tristan. Tristan may decide it is actually just a pavilion of amusement (you got it champ!!) despite Crispin continuing to be suspicious (after all, where's that phantom music coming from?).
I think their jaws would be on the floor from almost any of the rides, because there's nothing like it in the amusement fairs, automaton museums, or magic lantern shows of their own experience. Despite being "too old" for rides like Snow White's Scary Adventures, they'd be SO entertained and blown away by those kiddie dark rides lol. I think Tristan especially would love that one because of all the dramatic lighting effects, gothic tableaus, and black magic. Then I think they'd get on the Pirates of the Caribbean and their socks would REALLY be blown off. The visuals and scenery would be familiar to them, as it is like their own time. Crispin would love the dark aspect of dark rides, if only to get out of the sun, and really appreciate how mysteriously cold they are.
The Haunted Mansion is an obvious choice; it would really amuse Tristan. He'd want to move in (me too). Same with Tower of Terror, the pre-show with the ghosts?? He'd be entranced. And then the drop would happen (he would not realize this was the Whole Point of the ride and would not know it was going to happen) at which point his own soul would leave his body. In fact both him and Crispin would be surprised by it and believe they were actually falling to their deaths, but once they got over that and realized it was fake, they'd be lining up again and again. Well, I say "lining up" as if they wouldn't just cut or sneak to the front or even just shove through.
I can also see Crispin wandering in to Country Bear Jamboree and Tristan finding him sitting there quietly watching, though he'd be sorely disappointed that the happy expectation he had of the bears violently beating each other didn't come to pass.
There'd be some rides where they would be convinced by the modern technology that to them is quite impossible that the ride is real, and they might escape from their vehicles and onto the sets. They'd also for sure be stealing various treats, such as mickey ice cream bars etc. to sustain themselves. From this and various other inevitable rule breaking they might be spirited by security staff into closed off parts of the park. At which point Tristan and Crispin would find this a wondrous opportunity to escape into the underground tunnels which run under Disney. But that's a tale for another day.
They'd be absolutely enthralled by the fireworks show, as fireworks of that caliber did not exist yet. The complex fireworks, along with the booming disembodied music and voices, would make both of them sure they were dealing with some sort of enchantment. Then they would see the "most magical place on earth" logos everywhere and be like...holy shit...
As for characters...they'd probably go back and forth as to whether these were fairy creatures or just what they are: humans in costumes. Either way, Tristan would love the look of the princesses. Crispin would be far more likely to feel affrighted of the characters and avoid them, especially the ones in full suits, not trusting what lies beneath. Why are there so many? Why do they not speak?
